Current Projects

Stand for Land launched a fundraising campaign to aid in the purchase of open space, development rights or easements. We are collaborating with Open Space Institute (OSI) to raise community funds to preserve Claude and Holly Osterhoudt’s farm by permanently protecting the farmland. OSI has been given three years to raise money for the additional 120 acres across from the Marbletown Elementary school.  This piece of land sits on a principle aquifer and is a critical natural resource as define in the Marbletown Natural Heritage Plan. STAND has committed to raising $25,000 for this project.

STAND has held three events for neighbors and friends to learn about the project, meet representatives from OSI and help underwrite the project. There will be small gatherings throughout the year. Contact us for more information or make a donation from our home page.
